Description
In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore practical leadership skills essential for guiding student assistants, small groups, and doctoral dissertations. The two half-day sessions will cover aspects of communication strategies, providing constructive feedback, motivation and conflict management. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss specific supervisory challenges they face in their roles, fostering peer-to-peer learning and collaborative problem-solving. This workshop aims to empower postdocs with the skills and confidence needed to create a positive and productive academic environment for both themselves and their students.

Trainer
Dr. Viktoria Leonhard has 17 years of experience in the financial services industry at an international DAX 40 group. For more than 10 years she worked as a manager in various teams with up to 50 employees. She received her doctorate from the Chair of Psychology at the Technical University of Munich and holds a diploma in business administration and a master's degree in organizational development. She works as a coach and organizational developer in various industries and hierarchical levels. She passes on her knowledge as a lecturer at various universities.
