In May, the RUB Research School offers three interesting workshops on career-relevant topics and competencies that are open to early career researchers from the UA Ruhr.

On 14-15 May 2019, the "Creativity & Innovation" workshop will give interested researchers the opportunity to learn about various creativity techniques and apply them to their own research projects. The aim is to develop approaches for new, innovation-oriented thinking and to reflect on and contribute one's own resources and skills.

From 20 to 22 May 2019, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from the humanities and social sciences can train in the three-day workshop "Reaching your audience and performing with confidence" how to convey the core message of their research to an audience in an understandable and convincing way.

The workshop "Shaping the Storyline" from 22 to 24 May 2019 (Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Engineering  only) will focus on the metastructure of research articles. Participants will learn about the structure of scientific contributions (introduction, discussion, conclusion) and arguments and can then practice what they have learned using text examples.

The workshops will be held in English. Further information can be found on the linked workshop pages. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Ursula Justus.
