WIFU Lecture Series Family Business Research
Between scientific rigor and entrepreneurial relevance: Under this motto, the Witten Institute for Family Business (WIFU) invites you to an interesting lecture series with top-class, internationally renowned lecturers in the summer semester 2019.
The WIFU lectures on family business research at the University of Witten/Herdecke aim to show that the dichotomy between accuracy and relevance is not inevitable. The lectures are intended to give an idea of the range of research questions that family business research is facing worldwide.
The series starts on 8 May with a lecture by Dr. Isabell Stamm, Technical University Berlin, on the topic "Selbstbestimmtes Gehen? Kontexteinflüsse auf die Entscheidung das Familienunternehmen loszulassen".
On 22 May, Prof. Dr. Stefan Roth from La Rochelle Business School (France) will talk "Leit- und Leidunterscheidungen der Familienunternehmensforschung".
Dr. Allan Discua Cruz from Lancaster University Management School (UK) will give the final lecture this semester on 17 July. He will deal with the topic "The Importance of Narratives for Entrepreneurial Families in Business".
All lectures will start at 6 p.m. Lectures will be held in English or German. Participation is free of charge, a short, informal registration is requested.
