Seminars with individual coaching for the career goal professorship
This program is designed for researchers of all disciplines of Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen, who are leading their own research group, holding a Junior Professorship, are currently working on or have recently completed their habilitation.
What does CoachingPLUS offer you?
You have already gained experience in various fields in your current position: you know what it means to set up and manage a research group. You have already written one or the other research proposal and successfully raised funds. You are becoming more and more familiar with committees and university structures supporting and accompanying you. One of your next major challenges will likely be the appointment procedure for a professorship.
With CoachingPLUS, we would like to support you in your current career phase but also prepare you for your next career steps. The special feature of this program is the combination of seminars and individual coaching sessions, letting you benefit from very individual support. Additional value is provided by the small size of groups (six to nine researchers) and the related opportunity of (research-related) networking within the University Alliance Ruhr.
Who can participate?
Researchers of all disciplines of Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen, who are leading their own research group, holding a Junior Professorship, are currently working on or have recently completed their habilitation.

Usually, 9 places for participants of the UA Ruhr universities are available in each CoachingPLUS seminar. If possible, the places will be allocated equally according to university affiliation and gender. If the number of registrations exceeds the number of available places, you may be placed on a waiting list.
To provide you with a comfortable registration process, we use registration forms of our service partner eveeno®. eveeno® works in accordance with the basic EU data protection regulation (DSGVO).
After submitting the registration form, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt by e-mail. Please note that this is not the final confirmation of your placement. We will inform you in good time whether you have received a place in the workshop.
