Our offers are directed at the around 10,000 doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who are engaged in the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr).

Our upcoming workshop series is designed to support postdocs across the University Alliance Ruhr in securing third-party funding. You can choose freely from four online half-day sessions and put them together individually according to your needs. Based on the overall theme, they cover key aspects ranging from project design and visibility to self-efficacy and the logic of a grant proposal. Registration is already open.

From 21 June to 4 July our summer program once again brings international early career researchers from various disciplines to the Ruhr Area. The format offers prospective and early postdocs the opportunity to get to know the research landscape of the University Alliance Ruhr - as well as the Ruhr region as an attractive place to live and work. This time, we welcome 37 bright minds from 18 countries to the Ruhr Area.
Within Research Academy, RUB Research School, the Graduate Center TU Dortmund University, and the Graduate Center Plus of the University of Duisburg-Essen combine and bundle their expertise. All activities offered under the umbrella of Research Academy are based on close cooperation and regular exchange of experience.
The joint interdisciplinary qualification offers and career events prepare early career researchers for a career in research, business, and society. All offers also promote the mutual exchange of ideas, both within specific research fields and across individual disciplines.
The Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ) is a co-operation project of the three UA Ruhr economics faculties with the participation of the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research (RWI) and part of the Research Academy. It offers a structured doctoral programme in the field of economics, including research-oriented courses, workshops and conferences.
